Twice each year,
federal Departments and agencies must issue their semi-annual
regulatory agendas in keeping with the requirements of Regulatory
Flexibility Act, which mandates publication of the regulatory
actions agencies are developing (5 U.S.C. § 602). Executive
Order 12866 (Regulatory Planning and Review) (58 FR 51735,
October 4, 1993) and OMB memoranda implementing section 4 of
that Executive Order establish minimum standards for agencies'
agendas, including specific types of information for each entry.
On May 13, 2002, the latest Unified Agency of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions was published in the Federal Register (67 FR 32819 et seq.). The following links provide agency-specific information on regulatory actions contained in that document.
** Please note that the agencies' Regulatory Plans of the most significant regulatory
actions do not appear in this volume. The Regulatory Plan is an
annual requirement published in the fall edition of the Unified
Agenda, usually in October.
